ARAB people on their character

Sa tatlong taon kong nag stay sa Middle East, I can say na medyo nagulo ang mundo ko. It begun nung time na culture shock ako the first time ako makakita ng mga kakaibang mga gawain nila (Arab people) ang iba mapapatawa ka ang iba naman maiinis ka.
I was not been a keen observer but this time ng dahil na rin sa mga naipon kong observation, I can't help it but to share it to you guys. Actually, I don't have any plans to post it here baka kasi sabihin ng mga readers that I'm so mean at very judgemental, pero parang ganun na nga. And for those who will be affected on this, isang malaking paumanhin (apology) ang nais kong iparating sa inyo. That's why it was called a blog dahil we have the rights of expression and if you can put it on writing then do it.
Narito ang ilan lamang sa mga napansin ko sa kanilang mga gawain at kilos, bato-bato sa langit tamaan wag lang po magagalit (esp sa mga half pinoy half arab ang natioanlity) nag kokomento lang po:

1. The Most Impatient People I Know - Sobra! Kahit ilang beses mo sabihan na "Sir/Mam, please wait" tuloy pa rin. If your an expat and nasa isang dept store ka and your after to pay in the counter, kahit may naka-sulat na "Please Fall In Line" (with Arabic translation), ignore lang nila at mauunahan ka pa. Kasi nga ayaw nilang pumila and they will make a quick way just to avoid waiting.
2. Insisting - I just had an encounter with one Kuwaiti as my personal example, our store was used to open to public at 1pm daily and here is the guy questioning our staff and nagpupumilit na pumasok at magbukas na raw kami ng store. Take note, mag bukas na raw kami ng store just for him at kahit naka-off pa rin ang mga lights at mga machines.
Ipipilit nila ang gusto nila without thinking of the consequences basta masunod lang ang gusto nila.
3. "Why" why is their favorite word? - This is one of my favorites, if you been into arab countries before (particularly in Kuwait) lagi mo maririnig sa kanila ang word na 'leish' na ibig sabihin ay why sa english at bkit sa tagalog. Bakit? Dahil mahilig sila magtanong ng 'bakit?' at kung hindi ka sanay mauubusan ka ng isasagot sa kanila dahil hindi ka pa natatapos sumagot sa una nilang tanong, bibigkasin nila muli ang salitang 'leish'. Nakakatuwa kung iisipin mo pero nakakainis sa mga taong hindi sanay sumagot sa maraming tanong.
Here is one of the example, one cashier and one arab men talking; the cashier was trying to explain to his customer (arab men) about their price change:
Cashier: Sir, we have an increase of price on our meals and here is the new catalog for you to check.
Arab Men: Why? (leish)
Cashier: Sir, maybe because of the high demands of our products that's why the management need to increase it a little.
Arab Men: Why?
Cashier: Sir, i dunno why..
Arab Men: Why?
(Cashier walk-out) Hindi nakayanan ng cashier, naramdaman niya siguro that it is more worst as if applying for a very high ranking position sa isang company.
4. I don't care! - not literally and I'm not referring to Arab in specific but in general. Isa lang yan po sa mga napansin ko because most of them really don't care on their environment, on their health and even on their education. Parents don't even care on their child's manners and they even tolerate some stupid things na hindi mo akalain na magagawa ng isang bata. Maybe because I have an analogy of these two nationalities kaya ako may comment na ganito. They are very religious and no question about that however sa kanila mo pa rin makikita ang mga kakaibang mga personalities which you yourself maybe soon shock in case first time mo makakita.
5. Grammar or Vocabulary - I know marami rin pong mga kababayan ko na hindi rin gaano magaling sa English, kaya nga siguro we invented the term 'English Carabao' because nasanay talaga ang mga Pinoy to use their own language. It seems nice and for me it's a two-thumbs up using your own language to promote your belongingness in one's country. Just want to share this and please to all my readers don't be mislead and hindi rin po ako bitter. I just don't know how to treat this word 'Sekyusmi'? any guess kung ano ito?
I was shocked when one Arab women approached me uttering this word many times yun pala she just want to call my attention and instead she confidently shouted me 'Sekyusmi, wen hada cashier?' in English, 'Excuse Me, where is the cashier?'
After turning her backs on me, hindi ko talaga mapigilan tumawa, yun pala yun! But still amazed pa rin ako dahil kahit ganun they still want to show their motives to learn out of their ignorance.
